Are you turning green?

So has the greenness of the world starts to change from the sunny, shiny summer, are you remaining green or going with it?

The season is making its change slowly. The leaves already turning brown and yellow. The evenings are getting darker. It has all come about rather suddenly! As usual, but are you changing, not to autumnal colours but are you turning Green?

At Enigin we are concerned with organisations going “green” through energy efficiency.

How To Let People Know About Enigin’s Energy

posted by eniginenigin in Uncategorized

I have just spent the weekend away visiting friends. Yesterday afternoon we got into a conversation over a cup of coffee about energy saving.

Our friends we were visiting are currently living in a house they have inherited and plan to re-develop. There are a lot of changes and improvements they plan to make. New building is going up, rooms are being moved and created. As well as these changes there will also be new appliances, kitchen and bathroom.

This is a perfect opportunity for them to make some effort when it comes to energy saving. Now most items today automatically are being made to be more energy efficient, at times without the purchaser even being away of it.

Enigin - Teaching How to Save Energy

posted by eniginenigin in Uncategorized

My one year old son has started walking in the last 2 weeks. And in the last 2 days he has worked out how to open our doors at home, including the back door.

It is amazing to watch him reach up to the handle, pull it down and open the door - all on his own! He has obviously watched us do the same and worked out for himself how to do it. So within one year of his life he has learnt too many things to name or number really.

You always hear about how easily and quickly babies learn. How it is the best time to teach them a foreign language as they will so easily pick it up. It is the ideal time for parents to in-still in their baby/children how they want them to behave and what sort of child they want them to be. These early years really do make all the difference.

And the same applies in teaching them about such things as energy efficiency. It is something which has become increasingly important in the last few years. More and more businesses and homeowners are getting involved. Governments and schools are taking part in becoming enegry efficient.

As I have said before there are so many tips and pieces of advice out there for us to individually get involved. And who are we really doing this for? For many of us it is our future, our children.

So does in not seem sensible to instill such ideas into our way of life at home, and therefore help our children to grow up understanding the importance and impact of energy efficiency and saving energy. Hopefully my son will grown up into a world and part of a world that take energy efficiency seriously and actually continues to do something about it.

Save Today - Not Tomorrow

Here at Enigin Plc we want to save energy. That is what we are all about. Here in the UK people generally take a step back and don’t necessarily take the initiative. Do why don’t we start?

Many people just tell themselves “what good will I do”, “just let someone else do it”. But if we don’t all take the initiative today, then no one we. We need to buck our ideas up here in the UK and start saving energy! I won’t bore you AGAIN with ideas, and easy tips to save energy. We all know them!

I don’t think we need to be reminded again of what we can do ourselves, or do we? Well if you are not sure what you can do for your business to get on the energy saving bandwagon visit our website at enigin.com.

Lets all take part at work, at home and for our business. We all have a responsibility to do it but we all have to start somewhere and stop leaving it to other people!

Enigin - A Light Way to Save Energy

posted by eniginenigin in Uncategorized

A new system is in place in parts of the Highlands, Scotland for energy saving. In some areas residents are being given the power to turn on or off, street lights.

In comparison some councils in the UK are implementing energy saving schemes by doing things such as having street lights turned off completely between midnight and 5am. Clearly this second idea is a little less advisable due to there then being no articificial light for the public and therefore possibly causing problems.

At Enigin Plc we find ways to save energy and become more energy efficient, especially for businesses and councils, who are higher energy users, we all benefit from saving energy.

posted by enigin in Uncategorized

As part of the Climate Change Bill, targeted organisations will be legally required to make the necessary preparations before April, when the carbon reduction scheme (The Carbon Reduction Commitment or CRC) is officially commencing.

Companies like Enigin PLC, who supply energy efficiency systems to businesses and the public sector, are key protagonists of this play, as their products will be the object of solicitation nationwide and worldwide, in an effort to meet the newly set standards and rules.

posted by admin in Uncategorized

Hello and welcome to the enigin blog dot com! I am very excited about this site going live, I have wanted to write a blog for ages now. I am not in any way a proffesional blogger, I do not want you to think that I am! I make spelling mistakes, I am not trained to write in anyway, and I am not looking to do this proffesionally. What I am looking to do this for is for fun.

I intend to use this blog for personal as well as business use. I’m not really sure what I am going to talk about yet, I guess we will both find out as time passes, but I will try and share any interesting news about energy saving whilst I am here.

Thanks for reading this, and welcome to my first blog!
